Applications open today for the Get Better with Nature Community Fund 2016!
This year, the Fund has extended its reach to support community-based initiatives throughout the Peak District to help make a difference to their local community and the natural environment.
Join Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Nestlé Waters and High Peak Borough Council for the second Community Day of Action at Ashwood Park on Wednesday 2nd March.
The day is packed full of events which will re-generate the area including planting seeds to create a wild flower meadow and planting bluebells in the wood to help create a new wet woodland habitat.

This is aimed at supporting community-based initiatives in the High Peak Borough of Derbyshire, to help make a difference to their local community and the natural environment.
Nestlé Waters, the number one bottled water company worldwide, and The Wildlife Trusts, have today announced the launch of a community based campaign to help conserve the environment and raise awareness of the benefits of nature, with a focus on water in the landscape.
Get Better with Nature, an initiative from Nestlé Waters and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is back for a second year.
The campaign raises awareness and appreciation of the benefits of nature to society and people’s health and wellbeing. Last year, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust lead the project in the Buxton area and worked with over 90 children as well as community groups, employees from Buxton’s Nestle Waters factory on activities such as woodland bulb planting, scrub clearing and enhancing wet meadows by spreading wild flower seed.
